HI,
I thought I read a string here somewhere or saw a settlement about people not having to be available to answer phones or some such.
I had it up to read later, and my laptop turned off.
Any body have any help about this subject?

The RCA job description from publication 181....Dated 2007..
Variable Work Hours
As an RCA, you will replace a regular rural carrier on his or her scheduled day off (primarily Saturday), on vacation, or on other leave. Work hours will vary depending on the office and route to which you are assigned. You must be willing to work weekends and some holidays and be available for on-call employment. You may be assigned to other carriers' routes, increasing the number of hours you work.

Not sure if this overrides the 2002 settlement since it's a later date of RCA job descriptions.

I thought we just had to not answer the phone as well? What if you don't have a cell phone?? We had a brand new sub quit today because she was called in twice the last 2 days and couldn't keep doing that with babysitter issues. First sub we had in a long time that could finish route on her own by 5 too
