Can a route's case be larger than 3 full cases?

Hello,, so , I have a 41j route, 621 boxes. Super low volume factor. I have a lot of boxes that hardly get any mail. I have a nearly full 3 case sections as it is. Interested in trying to pull off the Aux route and get it to a K. Can a route's case be larger than 3 full walls (meaning 6 rows at 40 boxes per row per section)? Or would USPS deny that? Also, any idea how many minutes each additional box would add to the routes Standard Hours? Thank you!

Box additions will change your route's Standard Hours based on a multitude of factors. Though, in my experience, you can expect about an hour for every 20-25 boxes.

As for the number of cases? Sure, you can have more than 3. I got left with 4 after my route got cut. I had 5 before that.

Minutes for each box depends on Volume Factor & Coverage Factor of the donating route. I’ve seen routes add 200 deliveries and only move up 2 hours.

There is a route in our office that has 880 boxes her case has 3 sections and a wing and the carrier has asked for years to get more equipment but management refuses says she has to use some half cells instead. No room for pink cards or any supplies numbers bunched together and rt is still growing. What suggestions for her to do to fix this problem ?

She should file a grievance requesting supplies necessary to do her job properly. There is documentation in our contract that says the Usps management will supply carriers with all equipment necessary to do their job. In the Po603, which is supposed to be at every rural carriers case, it states how carriers are to have 3 pieces of sorting equipment to work a route with 700 customers, if more than 720, more casing equipment is required. Rural Carriers are never to have less than one slot, or one inch per customer.

Ty, I've told her there had to be something she could do. I'm telling her first thing, she really needs some relief.
