Carrier pick up & prepaid acceptance

Is it correct to hit "Carrier Pickup" scan first 5, then scan the rest of the packages on "Prepaid Acceptance"? Customer refuses to use a manifest. If you don't do this how does the carrier get credit for picking up the parcels?

Carrier pick up prompts how many, that is your credit plus a little time for the 5 you scan. I do pre paid acceptance for residential customers at locations. Usually no more then 15, generally 5-10 most days. My businesses I do pre paid on end of shift. Between them all 100-250 daily Monday’s 300-400.
