in my office they just started letting the city carrier grab their cbu keys first before us rural.
rural starts at 7:30 cbu keys not open yet
city starts 8:00 cbu keys open but we can grab it because they want city folks to get it first.

is there any grievances for these?

If typical city carriers leave the office earlier than rural so that's likely why they made the change?

As long as you get your keys before they're needed (leaving the office) I doubt there's a grievance.

When you say "Grab your Cbu keys" I suspect you mean your arrow key. Arrow keys are accountable items and are to be signed out for in front of a manager or designated Accountable clerk. They are also to be checked in the same way. If any of those methods are missing in your office the loss of a key would be your manager's fault.
We insist on properly passing of Accountables as per Usps manuals, and because it adds to our Eos service times.
