Looks like the NALC are looking out for their CCA's. You would think that the NRLCA would step up and do something for our RCA's<a href="https://www.postaltimes.com/postalnews/nalc-interpretive-dispute-on-cca-holidays-settled-eligible-ccas-to-receive-retroactive-holiday-pay/?mc_cid=3f50bf8114&mc_eid=a835ceb777" target="true">ccas-to-receive-retroactive-holiday-pay</a>

Cliff Clavin et al -- "Looks like the NALC are looking out for their CCA's."

-- Not only with retro-holiday pay, but also the NALC won a decision that CCA's with at least 30 months of relative standing ( no idea what that is ) as of 01 SEP 2018 will be converted to career status within 60 days.

-- The article is over at postalemployeenetwork.com along with other recent wins for the NALC, APWU, and Mail Handlers Union. Seems all but the NRLCA are winning.

A friend of mine is 5 days short of 30 months. At least when it all shakes out he will be number one in seniority, in an area with approx 75-100 routes.

I tried to talk him out of working for the PO, he is pretty miserable.

I am under the impression that at least some of the small town Rural Carriers have it made.  They are well paid for the area and have people standing in line to sub for them because it pays well for part time work. They have a good thing going and could care less about the rest of us.If there is truth to what I wrote, why should these people go for a major fight when they have what they want? The question, is this image of mine true?

Surprise! -- "The question, is this image [ about small post offices ] of mine true?

-- Well, it used to be. We'd sometimes see postings that mentioned EVERYONE ( PM down to the new RCA ) cooperating to get the mail delivered. The heck with worrying about crossing crafts -- getting the mail delivered was job #1.

-- Like CHEERS -- everyone knew your name as well as your history and your problems!

-- As far as not caring about the rest of the rural craft, they are probably too busy taking care of business. Likewise, the PO just might be the only real employment opportunity.
