Continuously pulled off my Aux route!!!

Hello everyone, I'm a Designation 79 on a 5-hour Aux. Now, my problem is, despite voicing my objections multiple times, I keep being pulled off my route to carry a K-route, and at times to even carry all day on City side. All this while outside RCA's from other offices are being brought in to run my AUX. I've told my postmaster that I'm just giving up SL and AL cause I don't earn those while working the other routes, which he seems to think I do. I simply don't understand why the RCA's that are being brought in to run my Aux can't be trained on the other routes to run them. It's not that I don't want to work the other routes, I'd just like to run my own Aux first, then help out afterwards where needed. I was thinking that filing a grievance would be the quickest way to resolve this, so I contacted my Union rep, but can't seem to get much of a follow-up on the situation from them. Is there anyone above my local Union rep that I could contact, in case my local rep doesn't get back with me soon. I'm getting a bit feed-up with it all!

File a grievance after your discussion with MGMT. The union must take action after you file. And send the form to your steward. Text them to let them know the grievance time clock has started.

Go above the rep.

I had this issue and they basically told me if I file they would pivot me which I didn't care. Ask where I can find paperwork and what not. They would follow up with me, but they didn't. The morons in management finally listened after while so grievance wasn't needed.

Mr.Carrier -- "I'm a Designation 79 on a 5-hour Aux. Now, my problem is, despite voicing my objections multiple times, I keep being pulled off my route to carry a K-route, and at times to even carry all day on City side. "

-- You might point your PM to Article 30.2.G.5 of the contract:

- AFTER completion of the assigned auxiliary route or the primary route assignment, a leave replacement assigned to serve the auxiliary route may be utilized on any other auxiliary route, or serve as a leave replacement or provide auxiliary assistance on any regular route.

" I've told my postmaster that I'm just giving up SL and AL cause I don't earn those while working the other routes, which he seems to think I do. "

-- Politely ask the PM to provide documentation.

-- And ask why your SL and AL totals are not increasing on your pay stub with the hours put in on other routes or when working the city route.

" Is there anyone above my local Union rep that I could contact."

-- Union Reps: there is the office steward, then the Assistant District Representative, then the District Representative.

-- If no response or timely action while going up the food chain, make sure you have appropriate documentation, then there is Susan Knapp ( current Director of Steward Operations )

DO NOT LET MGMT WRITE ANYTHING IN BOX 13!!!! This is for when your Step 1 Meeting Steward meets with mgmt. Mgmt ONLY needs to INITIAL Box 3b confirming the date of filing. If mgmt INSISTS on “date stamp“ or signature, have the, do so on the right side portion of Box 7 & 8.
