Trying to help out the sub in our office.  He will hit his 40 hrs by end of Thursday.  No other sub know route so PM is telling him to come in Thursday and case mail for 4 hrs then go home and another sub come in and deliver it.  Then Friday same thing case for 4 hrs then go home other sub delivers.  Obviously he would rather work all day Thursday then have all of Friday off.  He asked me if he didnt have the right to work up to his 40 on Thursday rather than split it.  Things have changed so much I really didnt have an answer for him anybody have an answer plus reference?   Thanks

If the sub you mentioned has been working his primary all week, he is entitled to all the hours for that route up to the evaluation. If he has been working other(not the same route) routes the pm can hold him to 40 hours if other (in office subs) are available. Rule of thumb is:  if you can work under 40 hours, do so and gain the route's evaluation for the week, if you are going over, work slow enough to get to the evaluated hours or more, which has been quite easy with all this Amazon volume.
