Denied Annual Leave

My a/l was denied..due to maximum number of approved leave allowed.

Supervisor said after a holiday she only can approve two leave slips.. This is the first I ve heard of this anybody else familiar with this

Simple question, are there any leave replacements (rcas, ptfs) available to work that day? If the answer is Yes, file a grievance because your request for annual leave should be granted. If the answer is no, you do not have a case.

-- Politely or otherwise ask the supervisor for the reference on max number of approved leave allowed.

-- Might as well drag your Assistant District Representative in on this.

-- Psst, manglement -- it's called scheduling. With enough lead time, should be able to call around for extra help. How about HIRING more people -- what a concept!

I've heard it said, all leave denials could/should be grieved... wth... they'd at least have to explain it to someone besides you...
