Digital mail count

This is not a mail count. This is a pilot program to map the routes on the computer only involving 1000 routes. 250 offices, 4 routes per office across the country.
After this, They’ll see how things went with the data, possibly make adjustments to the process and then continue to map every route.
Then I would expect to hear a date for the “mini count.”
Most rural managers have no idea what rrecs is and misconstrue what’s happening and misinform carriers.
I think the sooner rrecs is implemented the better. My office has triple the parcel volume since the last count, on a daily basis, for the past year.

The union and all of us have to understand these packages are assigned to the route not the carriers! They always trying to get over on us! Credit the parcels and anything that goes to the ROUTES as they are scanned into the office. Then end I mean if a sub that just run let's say rt15 and has that scanner and goes to rt2 and delivers their extra parcels what route gets that credit at that time? It shouldn't matter who does what the rt should get credited. New time study figures already cutting time from parcel credit now this? Everything has been hush quite until contract negotiations are being talked about more. Carriers harping about we got to much when we going to be counted. The po has to put something in contract to screw us even more and union wants to do their part and help that process is what all this seems to me!

And what happens if you have to get aux help with mail as well is them flats letters spars took off too? See they think we are just plum dumb! ?

Don't make any sense to me one minute they say longer miles rts going to be paid less shorter miles get paid more then turn right around and say parcels only credit is if you don't get help getting them delivered ? so which is it the rt gets credited or doesn't? They talking out both sides of their mouth like always. They trying to pay only for what we do and not what are routes are doing! then just let me punch the clock! They are fixing to really mess these routes up bad! What about the days help isn't available to I get double time hahahaha

As far as rcas helping with parcels after doing a route I always set it up so I am scanning by the route, even if that means I have to switch it 6+ times a day on the days I am helping only. Maybe Inform your rcas they need to do the same.

Ok thats a good idea but it's still not the assigned scanner to my ID number is what they will say if I had to guess?

Who ever is a rca out there remember what ever numbers theses rts end up being and your out and about on all them from day to day does and will effect your pay as well, so yes we all need to work together always.

@ w2ew2e I can't site office reference. It's been SOP for me when counting. These office footage credits beyond 100 feet round trip go under line 23. Other suitable allowance.

You give the office up to 100 free feet for no credit. IE... Throwback case 48 feet 1 way from your case for a total of 96 feet. No footage credit.

They move Throwback case further away from case for a greater total of 100 feet. You are entitled the extra footage credits over the 100 feet.

Incorrect. It’s 50 feet round trip. It’s in the 2018 mail count guide.
