As an RCA I think I can speak to this....slow down when you are "scheduled" on a 9.2 hour route for 6 days. In my office, it is our responsibility to report when we are close to 40 hours, they don't like paying overtime to anyone. If you are doing that route with an average time of 6.5 hours over the 6 days, you are saying to upper management that you are being way overpaid...whether or not you mean to, you are sending red flags up high enough for them to see. Sit and figure your pay before you get more than 4 days of work in a given week. Honestly, I have only seen Regulars who run their mail and come in an hour before start time actually run their routes in "an hour+" less than their eval on a daily basis....and believe me they are on the radar! If I figure it right in your case, you would have had to work 8.30 actual hours more to have broken even for pay either way. I know people in my office race to get back because they think they are making more per hour....ah, that isn't the fact...you get the same amount per hour, you just ran the route really fast for your benefit...and soon to be the benefit of the management. Don't get me wrong, lite days of mail are great, but don't give away the farm to be the "FIRST ONE BACK."

We have a reg that always help throw packages not because she is nice(yes she is crossing crafts) but because she can get out earlier............she is routinely back between 11am to 1 pm. She is gonna loose big time on RRECKS!!!

30 min lunch every day would have reduced your time by 3 hours

Better yet... do it retroactively.... oh yeah, PM geekazoid.... I forgot.... I took 30 minutes for lunch each day, so I REALLY was under 40 for the week....

LOL... give it a shot.... tomorrow is "timecard" day.... ?

Btw, this is one of the most world famous OTC scam moves.... how could you not know about it???? I'm only surprised that it took this long to be mentioned in this thread.... ?

I average 5 to 6 trays of DPS daily and 5 ft of flats and 125 scans over a 50 mile route with an elder community and 20 NCBU dismounts. Eval is 9.3 hrs a day and I am over by 45 min on Monday and Saturday. If they did a count right now our route would be cut for sure as eval would go up by 2 hrs a day. Last count was before Amazon.. :( I wish I had a route like ProTrolln.
't
Hear, here. (?) Takes 6 hours just to drive my route, and have to return to PO halfway to reload unpaid Amazon.

As a sub I worked everyday they ask, two other subs hired when I was, never worked on Friday, it took me a while to figure what they were doing, they were making as much or more than me, with a day off, because they were not going into overtime and losing their evaluation.

Bingo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As lights come on, we have a new educated RCA!

Lock yourself in the bathroom for 30 min. Come out and say you have explosive diarrhea, cant go back out.

Also, I would argue that a K route is classified as 5 days. The routes K day should be classified as its own day separate from the rest.

Of course the language is muddy, and if a deal couldn't be struck for 5 day evaluation, k day pay + green card. Then I'd send it up to step2. It's an issue national should address.

The funny thing is that I always explain this to RCA's in my office, they tend to control them selves for a couple of weeks, but by week three the are out running again. Well we have an RCA working on a 46K next week for 6 days. I predict that on day 6 they will end up working for no pay!
I wont be able to hold my tongue to point this out after the week is done!

-- If the RCA is big enough and mad enough, you may be holding some other body parts besides your tongue!

Yeah management is actually doing their job here - saving the post office 14 hours of pay, but the problem they are causing is a disgruntled employee. Unfortunately, 99% of them don't care one whit about whether an employee is unhappy, but do care about bragging to their superiors that they saved the USPS 400 bucks and if they could maybe get half of that in a bonus check for themselves.
