Door Misc

They say everything is credited in the paperwork when you scan it but I do because even though when we deliver a package we scan it where we leave it cause we are told that's how the footage credits. Again to myself I think it's all a lie but I just humor them. They talk out of both sides of their mouths.

Do I select Door Misc when I need to go to the door to pickup packages?
No. When you scan the Pickup under RRECS & the parcels at the location, you are credited for that footage & dismount among other credits.
DOORMISC is rarely used as it is for when there is not a scan to do at the door & the item(s) does not qualify as an UnscanParcel.

Or so they SAY we are credited-but are we really? Who knows, IF anybody really knows...its all computer generated and honestly I believe there are MANY many things that RRECS SAYS we are credited for YET are we?

basically if your not putting it in your scanner your not really getting credit for it , delivering packages to the door , load time, eos time
is what you getting most credit for the rest is peanuts

Would that be the RRECS guide that I never got to read because I am not a union member. Hard to follow the rules if you can't read the guide.

Well that's because our union thinks only certain people deserve to know how we are paid. NOT ALL RURAL CARRIERS QUALIFIED.

Still don't understand that. It is everyone's pay all should know.

If you don't trust the union, then believe management. If you don't trust management, join the union. If you don't trust either, join the union so you can access all the data, then do your own research. I'll take note of the non members on here and be sure not to help them anymore. They're like the family that came over to eat Thanksgiving, don't bring a damn thing and leave early with 3 plates.

The union spent dues money writing and revising the comprehensive guide. If you don't want to contribute to the work, then just keep believing what management tells you. It's only your livelihood.

Here is the thing.....

I have no issue if certain stuff is kept away from people, but when your pay system completely changes, EVERYONE SHOULD GET THE BASIC INFO. Do you not agree on that at least? EVERYONE should get the info on the new pay system and take it how it is. The company should provide or the union and if company doesn't provide it, then union needs to force company to do it. I didn't see any of that. Oh also I remember when RRECS 1st started and getting a new sheet about every other day, how the !@$!$ am I suppose to know which one is right?

Now if the union wants to do classes like they did for the old mail count and allow union only members, that is fine with me. (OH I AM IN THE UNION FYI) It is completely wrong to just shun people out from not knowing how they get paid. We are a craft as a whole, and to withhold info about the pay from certain people is wrong. I mean why should only some people know how the pay works??? I would think you would want the best pay possible for your carrier. Instead our union doesn't care, and oh yeah while "mail volume is down", I AM ONLY PERSON GETTING MAJOR PAY CUT. Only 9k in 2 years while losing 13% coverage on curb & 21% on CBU, which is 2 hours on my route. What union is perfectly fine watching their employees losing that much pay?

The union is sitting back getting more and more money from each year while may pay is continuous going down.

Most rural carriers that don't care enough to be in our union, also don't care enough to do the scans necessary to increase route evaluation. Knowing the information would do nothing to help.
The USPS is responsible to provide carriers with ALL NECESSARY equipment and information to do their job. If carriers outside the union need information and are refused that information by the Usps, they can file a grievance and the union will represent them.
