end-of-run / carrier piece counts

in the eor report we get each day of count  there are columns of multi-pt,  cased, flats, dps, and tcr.  the flats look like the number in my tubs, dps were letters given credit for, but the cased number doesn't correspond to anything.  all these added together equal tcr.   what are the cased items?

"cased" is sort of irrelevant.  It is mail that went through dps procedures and didn't make it in.  It arrives rubber banded and id'd for your route.  it is normally a very small amount.  It would be thrown in and included with your column 1 raw mail.  If you get a small tray of raw mail that the clerks sorted to you, every day I find my "cased" still rubber banded and  in with that.

Ask to see it. In our district, the DR has mandated that management must post it on rural board every morning.

If management won't make available, call your DR.

i've got two zip codes, and get an eor for each.  looks like my cased letters numbers were combined and added to raw number.   thanks for the replies.  every rural carrier in my office gets a daily copy of the eor.<img title="Smile" alt="Smile" src="https://www.ruralmailtalk.ruralinfo.net/wp-content/sp-resources/forum-smileys/sf-smile.gif" />

Are you getting time for switching the scanner zip code when you deliver parcels in the different areas?

I had to remind mgmt that this report needed to be posted for both zip codes where all carriers can see it if they choose. None of the DPS #s were on our 4239s.

i don't know if mine is the only route in the nation this way or  not, but my scanner switches automatically.  during route inspection, my pm said all the other routes in the rmpo's, have to change their zip, but mine reads whatever zip is on the label.  it's been that way for about 3 years.  i used to have to change it.  switches back to home office when i get back to that section of route as well.

it reads the zip on label, not location from gps.
