Finding parts for JDM vans ?

I have a 1999 Toyota Townace Noah RWD sr40 i just bought it is in pretty good working order but i am getting antsy and wanting to put together a emergency parts package. Does anyone have any tips or ideas to make this process smooth ?

Look for Facebook groups associated with that make and model. Especially if it’s possible to convert to a camper van. Beyond that if it doesn’t have a comparable make and model in the US. Lots of research on your end to find a part manufacturer or retail parts over seas.

I use Amayama to find parts for my JDM vehicles. Find the chassis of your vehicle over there and you can find all the part numbers for everything. And it shows all vehicles that use that same part so you can find things over here easier. They also sell OEM parts if you can't find them elsewhere, but it's usually a bit pricey due to shipping and import fees.

Other reputable sites you can check out are Nengun, Megazip, Partsouq, and Yoshiparts. The problem with all the Japanese sites is they might list something as available when it isn't. There's also a guy named Jesse Streeter that lives in Japan that can help you find parts if all else fails.
