Friday?Saturday Rotating

Can someone help explain this Step 4 to me?
I may offer to drop to a J route with an agreement that I get to choose to be a Friday K day when I grow back to a K route.
If that is in writing and I get a Friday K day, can I then pull out this Step 4 and Say I want a Friday/Saturday rotating as management agreed to me choosing a Friday K Day?

That is correct. If a Friday is chosen as a Relief Day, the Carrier has the choice of a Friday/Saturday rotation.
Just because a J-Route becomes a K does not mean that the Relief Day will change. It will keep the Saturday until a Formula Recalculation shows a need for Saturdays to be reassigned.

We are a big office, it happens pretty much as soon as a J route goes to K.
Thank you, I am gonna go for this as I like the idea of a 3 day weekend every other week.
I am just worried about making a mistake.
