I don’t know if this is funny, or sad.....
But, our in office stew, wanted the route I got, I was on med leave, and never once did she inform me this route would be available soon as the reg was retiring (Hugh conflict of intereste if you ask me), however another carrier kept me informed almost daily while I was on med leave...
I did win the bid, then a month or 2 later, another carrier retired, and our stew won said route.
This stew worked her route a couple months before I returned full duty....
She was/is pregnant, and knew long ago, she’d be needing maternity leave soon. (This week is her last week to work before giving birth, and taking 3 months off)
The week I returned to work, I met my new hired sub. I was in my first week back, so no way was i in any shape or form to train him. Luckily, the one who trained me, also trained him.
But why did I get a sub before the one pregnant and going on maternity leave, when I really didn’t need one just yet.
Granted, my route is a “k” route, and hers is an “h”....
I just find it comical, someone who really didn’t “need” a sub yet, gets one the week he takes over a route, but the pregnant mama, who needs one to cover her for 3 months, still don’t have a sub....
