Holds out of dps

Can we have our customer hold mail left in dps or is management required to flag holds so automation will put them out?
I would rather work them on the street since they are showing up in informed delivery anyways.

The short answer is yes, however in my opinion, it is better to have hold mail on my ledge. Too many times subs will deliver hold mail, and the customers will squawk.

I wasn't sure of its something that automatically happens when a customer puts in an on-line request or if management has to do something to flag it as a dps exception after it shows up in the local office.

The subs know if they see a wide orange rubberband in the box to not deliver mail because mails on hold. $6 for a bag of them ...it's been working out.

Yep !!! It's through a program in AMS. Can do the same for closed businesses , too.
