will you get paid for calling out the day after the holiday?

scenario, working saturday, monday holiday and call out tuesday.

if we getting paid and management dont pay holiday pay what would be the grievance wording?

@tonsillitis , when you use a sick or annual day, you get paid for those sick or annual days. If by "call out Tuesday" you mean "take LWOP", you do not get paid for LWOP.

If you are a regular carrier on a J or K route with Monday as a relief day, you will get holiday pay and day off for Saturday, however if management works you Saturday, you'll get 2x evaluated pay for Saturday; 1x for working pay + 1x for holiday pay.

Before management sends timekeeping to payroll, verify with your manager that the correct codes were entered for the days you did not work. Do this to avoid any forgetfulness or oversight.

The wording could be something like, "Did management properly apply holiday pay provisions for the [2026, Memorial Day] holiday?".
