How can I get my training mileage pay?? - UPDATED

I posted about this a couple of weeks ago.

I am a former RCA. I didn't stay long, it was horrible. I have talked to other RCAs in other offices, they say yea, they went way beyond horrible. Some people here on this board said the same thing.

Anyway, I turned in my mileage form on the first day I started at the office, which was May 1. The pay is almost $800 because I had to travel VERY far for orientation for a week, LLV and 2 ton training for 2 days, and RCA academy for a week.

First I talked to my former supervisor who said it takes about 2 months to get the pay (which I found out later isn't true, the ones at the academy with me who I could contact ALL got their pay).

Then I tried to contact HR, but I couldn't since I'm no longer an employee.

Then I wrote an email to the rural carrier association. No answer. Then I called them. They told me a specific person to call. I called, and this person said he would text me the info for the person I need to talk to. He never did.
A week later, I called rural association again and was told 'if he doesn't give you the info by Friday, definately call me back'. I did, no answer. And no call back.

I then called the post master of my office, and was told I would have to talk to my supervisor. I told them I already did.
Well, I called her back and this is what she said this time (which is something completely different than what she told me last time) ''Every new employee is assigned a manager who handles this pay, but you resigned before one was assigned to you, now I don't know what to do with your form, or even if you'll get paid at all.''

I then searched on the rural carriers association site (didn't think to do that before) and found a person who is suppose to be over my office. I called and left a message. She called back and give me the number to another person who is actually over my office. Every time I call that number, it won't go thru. So I called the lady who give me that number and she said 'I'll have to call you in the morning' which was yesterday.

I just don't know what to do at this point. ANY help will be appreciated so much!! Thanks !!

-- Since you are not having any luck on the local level, take your concern to the top.

-- Write a polite letter to the Postmaster General. Include your short experience with the postal service; detailing dates, times, personnel you have talked to and their responses as well as lack of action.

-- Certainly could be worth the time and the 50 cent stamp. As well as letting the PMG know things are not all rosy down in the trenches.

Call the district mgr. Number should be listed on liteblue or Google for the district you were in. And please, DO let them know why you quit and pay is a big part of it. Things roll down hill, as they say. Happy 4th. And mention labor board charge and small claims...
