How do you adapt?

To all subs or former subs. Do all of the regulars in your office use the same casing system, or is there a variety? If you cover multiple routes, how do you adapt to the different cases?

Our office has it all. Carrousel & Page; case above & below. Most Regs try to make it clear with labeling. Above or below is easy to figure out but carrousel takes referencing the DPS or presorts if the case isn’t labeled.

Case labels... It's a mix of above and below in our office. I've been to about 7 offices and I've never seen the carrousel case.

A Lot of the short statured carriers have these huge wooden planks they stand on to reach the top rows of the case, annoying moving that thing every time I work their route.

All the LLVs are setup different too. One lady won't allow pens in her truck, always takes them out. Some doors are so hard to open I have to use 2 hands, some slide right open with 1 finger. Some have cupholders, some don't. Some have false plastic Windows to keep it warm inside, some are pigs lol

The latest trend I've noticed from bouncing RCA'S around here is all have game to cover but now tote a device full of bands of preference and 3 multiple colored cards to parcel mark. Each color alerting LARGE MEDIUM SMALL.

By “carousel,” do you mean by row, continuing across the 3 to 5 sections of the case? That’s how all the rural cases in my 43-route office are, and all top to bottom. I’m short, but hate working in the cases with the platforms, as it hurts my back dealing with the bottom row. I’d rather reach for the top row. If I use parcel markers at all, I use whatever the regular has at the case, with no regard to size, though I will try to save red ones for signature items. I carry my own skulch tray and bag of tricks from case to case and LLV to LLV. My bag of tricks includes a nice YETI cup holder. (Metal, not a flimsy piece of plastic my cup will fall out of).

Glad to see others do this, too. I created some of these for myself, and they've caught on around here. Mine are basically spur-big envelope in tub-box.
