Twice/year.
Sign-up right now is 4/18 - 5/1.
New list takes effect 5/9.
Start at top again.( most senior)
I think article 8.5 page 4 of latest contract.

As a REG not signing again. No desire to work my assigned day off. Coverage not my problem.

I personally would like to see 1 year of no signings of RDWL by REGS. Just saying they created this RCA shortage and any PM, OIC or Super will tell you I was one of the best out there. Prove it and deliver again for 1 day with full relief.

You do know that not signing only means that your pay options when you are required to work will limit you to just receiving an X-day? If you were mandated to work and would like to the option to have earn 1 1/2 pay sign the list! If you have to work make them pay the price! On a side note I always encourage Regular Carriers that are low on the seniority list to always sign, it will at least give you a Choice for Pay or Day, because you most likely will be working anyway!

RDWL is a decision each carrier should make for their own best benefit. It's not to "help the PM" it's to help YOU if it works for you. Some carriers sign, as they really would like the money, and some don't as they either don't need it or value their time more. We rarely have an opportunity anyway, as RCA's cover well. Each office is different, as well. Do what works for YOU.

Each office is definitely different. I sign the list and I'm top seniority but it's been years since I've gotten one. The biggest disagreement in our office currently is that each RCA seems to think they are not getting their fair share of Amazon/Express days.

All -- As "Old Fart" posted -- "RDWL is a decision each carrier should make for their own best benefit."

-- The NRCLA seems to think info about the RDWL is important as they include it once or twice a year in the Question Box section of the national magazine.

-- Probably the biggest selling point to sign up is that the carrier gets to decide the payment of CODE 5 ( 150% pay and no X-Day ), especially if no one has signed up and being the junior regular in the office.

-- Once signed up, one can take one's name of the list any time -- provided one has not be scheduled to work the relief day.

-- Lots of "in's and out's" regarding the RDWL that manglement probably won't be willing to "share", so read up on it ( Article 8.5 ) to stay ahead of manglement.

From my experience towards X days. … An X day to be immediately scheduled by mutual agreement between the carrier and the Employer. The scheduled X day must be within the next twelve (12) weeks.

How proactive is your office about Immediately scheduled? Please define immediately in Machine lingo. They have a hard time now with coverage for the day/week now.

I always submit leave slip for a X day ASAP for a day around week 10 in from the X. I get a response I can't plan that far out. Well let me know what days I can take in the window frame. They never get back to me because I do not remind them because it's not my job to remind them I have an X. So on week 10 they get back to me. Most of the time it's a NO GO for the 2 remaining weeks. I get paid for the X too. So I still get 1 1/2 pay.

They have not posted new RDWL sign-up sheet in our office.

They did not post it last time, either, until it was pointed out to them when they had completely missed the window prescribed by the contract. (And yes, I won't tell them until they're late, AGAIN! I have to take my amusement where I can find it! ? ??)

This type of X-day is when you are on the RDWL & choose to work for only an X-Day.
The X-day for a non-RDWL Carrier or if on the list & choose a 3 is totally at mgmt discretion & the Carrier cannot say no. Most mgmt will allow the Carrier to pick the day but it is not a Carrier’s right.
Just be sure to remember that there are Special rules for Guarantee - Christmas periods.

Cool. You’ll just be mandated and can only use DACA 3 lol.

so your mandated in on your day off you got sick called in no sick day used because it is your day off can't do anything because it is your day off city started doing this a month ago most had not had a day off in three months and working Sundays they have hired 7 new CCA's because some of the 204's were being told to suit up your going in and the others had to come out and run the floor
