Implementing formula

Can an office implement to formula with one RCA that currently runs an Aux Route?
Senior carrier J Route
2nd K route
3rd K route
4th K route
5th H route
6th H route
One RCA 25 hr Aux Route
All routes currently have Saturday as their relief day. The Aux carrier is consistently double routed. Hiring efforts are not effective and 120 day letters have been issued.

The J route touches it. They already leave the home office and go to another office to pick up a small section of their route. They would have to go to a third office to grab the aux. In the office where the aux is the K route there is already a 44k 115 miles the aux is 42 miles.The main office holds the J route and 2 K's and one H route. The aux and one K is in a completely different office.

Everything you’re stating qualifies for Formula as long as mgmt can show 4 RCA postings within the previous 6 months.

Who would run the Aux if they take the RCA?

That is not true. Minimum 5 K routes for PTF position to be created for the office, possibly miss quoted or heard.

Maybe I don’t recall off hand, but doesn’t going formula require at least 1 PTF with the required number being rounded?

Not true. That only applies to creating a PTF position.

Maybe. The number of PTFs required in a Formula office is equal to 10% of the number of K routes. 4 Ks require 0 (zero) PTFs as it rounds down and 5 will require 1 as it will round up.
