Is spyware killing your MDD?

How many folks are finding their scanner screen goes blacks and the battery fails partway through the work day without warning, while prior to the latest updates it worked normally? This is the latest managerial plague to affect every route in our office and I am curious if other places face the same challenge for the past couple weeks.

The loss in productivity, scanning accuracy and RRECS data is making this a very big issue here. Naturally there are no spare batteries, scanners or vehicle charging adapters available.

We just got new batteries not long ago fixed the issue. Talk with your management if you are experiencing this.

Same here. It's an easy grievance too....po mgmt is required to provide what we need to do the job. Dont let em skate...make em do their job...

I have a Parent/Child route and everyday, about 1/2-3/4 into my route, my scanner gets glitchy, doesn't want to enter, go through with button presses, and eventually freezes. I have to restart the entire scanner and have gotten used to pulling the battery out each time too. One time I didn't and it restarted the same way as before. I think it happens no matter what scanner I use too. It's like it (the program) eventually gets overwhelmed during my route and slows down, then freezes. Anyone else have this issue?

I have seen the sluggish performance as well on multiple scanners having the issue. It used to be MDDs would warn you they were running out of power and dim the screens to extend runtime but I think there are so many background programs running it is overwhelmed.
