today i had a flat tire on llv, 10 miles from any town. Called pm. had someone come out, but no one in 20 miles had a spare for an llv. So they had to take the tire off, take it back to the shop, fix it, and bring it back out to put on. I just got to thinking, what if it was Saturday, and the tire was not repairable? This place just has no plan for anything.

In my area, a tow truck retrieves the vehicle after mgmt brings another vehicle to switch to so the carrier can continue working.
At my off the threads are showing and they still think you can go another month on that tire. 
They’d rather pay a tow bill than put a tire on. If it happens on Saturday just take a nap they’ll figure it out sooner or later. Or not.FrozenToes

-- Be sure to list the time you waited for the tire to be fixed and put back on as "O" Time on your 4240.
-- Also keep track of "O" time at home and make copies of the 4240 as you should get a day off when you accumulate 8 hours of "O" Time. Step 4 ( L-97 ).
-- There used to be an "O" Time tracking worksheet. Ask manglement for one and if they can not produce one, file a grievance, citing the PO-603's Section 142.3. The USPS supplies all additional equipment, supplies, and FORMS.
-- Whenever my LLV broke down, "O" Time started when I called in. If no one was in a hurry to answer the phone, that just added more to the "O" Time!
