Keep getting denied for leave for doctors appointment.

With no subs I got denied two months ago from the PM for a doctor's appointment I couldn't do online . I rescheduled for this month and still have no subs. I just filled out a new leave slip but itwill still probably get denied. My nearest doctor specialist is two hours away and does not do online visits and requires labs there too. If I don't go my meds will not get renewed. Can I grieve this ? My postmaster is at a bigger office 22 miles from me.

In addition to what @oi veh. wrote, you can also request FMLA through Liteblue in the eLRA "app" (online leave request). When I did it, HR sent me FMLA paperwork via priority mail.

Sometimes informing local management that it is an FMLA situation gets them to approve it. Sometimes district management pulls on local management's strings on the issue of approving leave. I don't know if this is the situation in your office or not, but solutions for your situation do exist. Management just needs to make the effort.

Good luck! 😁👍

absolutely.

do it tomorrow.

PM can either borrow sub from somewhere else or suit up his own self.

p.s. go to the nalc site, print off their fmla papers and get your doc to fill out while you're there. then once HR approves, use fmla for your appointments.
Definitely use the city NALC forms for FMLA, they're one page where the ones your PM will give you are a dozen. The NALC forms are fully accepted by our HR, as I've helped a number of carriers successfully obtain FMLA. Talk with your doctor and let him know your dilemma.

the MOMENT you submit FMLA to HR it's automatically notified in your payroll menu when your timekeeper completes your time for the period.

read above. Call your union DR. You can't be denied doctor's appointments sick leave with doctor's note unless you've been through investigative interview process and warning for excessive sick leave use.
