Late trucks arriving... another laugher

24-148-2-R25 Faifield Ohio...We dang everybody you all know it is mandatory that every scrap of mail must be delivered every day.... Well these poor slobs didn't and get written up.. OIG says well just deliver it...Ahh.. OIG did notice that they had a truck arrive hours late but inOIG's world that doesn't matter...If OIG had just 1 person with a brain-just 1.. he/she/it would have done an audit trail...Oh the 2 plants which supply this operation and others in 3 months had close to 40,000 late, delayed, canclelled or extra trips.....ya thunk this is a red flag of a problem?...Ya thunk just maybe management of the district and plants shooda figured out they had a problem?....Nahhh... and when OIG actually put this in thie audit of operations they came down so hard on the management of those plants - well NO.. OIG said don't so it again.......Now another auditor technique is to go back in a certain time frame and see how noted failed operations have improved..OIG NEVER DOES THIS... So bottom line is that AGAIn the people at the bottom make the post office work inspite of management...We have a tree full of mankeys again...

OIG FINALLY wrote what really happens: 24-123-R25 first class mail se Florida...Delivery units stopped reporting late trucks--WHY--because plants did nothing about it- so why waste time with plants which don't give a crap...and how did OIG handle this?....It told upper management to tell delivery units tostart reporting late trucks again......NO MENTION of an action plan for plants to get their act together... This audit isn't worth the paper they wasted printing it on...

Wow and I just asked yesterday if this is a nationwide issue or just us/ late trucks , and i am in the syracuse ny area, its a nightmare here also, sucks we cant charge them for late mail during christmas hours.

It is late trucks all over the U.S....I'll bet the new hairbrained only one truck a day is messing up what used to be the 24 hour clock so plants could work at optimum... A dumb PMG who only thinks trucks has messed up everything.. Dejerk and his inspector gaget were a joke in front of congress...

Yeah....even here too....truck was 2 hours late the day after the holiday....that day sucked. Brought a little bit of mail back, and was told we have never had delayed mail here....YEAH RIGHT...

Same thing only different, today Dec 23 we had only 20% of our Amazon drop show up. We were expecting it to be in the office when we returned off the route but still none of the shorted shipment has arrived. So now that only leaves tomorrow Xmas Eve for the shortage along with the normal shipment for tomorrow. Merry F---ing Christmas, heads should roll for this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah....I agree brother, I was supposed to be off tomorrow, but got voluntold I was working because of an ANALZON tsunami headed our way.....ssiiiggghhhhh.
The Joy's of postal servitude....good grief. My pm is pretty decent, and had nothing to do with this happening, but those in charge at the plant....need to be being getting some serious discipline, because it sits squarely on them for this
cluster....they are just one more example of po mgmt in general.

Keep in mind certain areas Amazon wise are having strikes currently. Check your area and it may explain Amazon wise what’s going on. Amazon here has seen the occasional late drop shipment and the next day is an absolute bear. No strikes in my area just new drivers who are clueless about winter driving .
