Lets talk WSH again....

Originally we were instructed to scan into RRECS for delivery flats that came as WSS and/ or WSH.

Then we are told, don't scan WSH, only scan WSS.

Now I'm looking over the mini survey instructions and I see that WSS and WSH are both list as items NOT to be counted.

So, if I don't count WSH during the survey and I don't scan them when they come to my case to be delivered, when do I get credit for them? Do those numbers supposedly come from the mailers also?

Lmbo I guess we give them away too

Wait.. you want paid for that? Trust USPS. They're counting them. Make sure you mark up every single one of those political WSH mailers and keep those separate too, so they go into the special UBBM.

FWIW, the RRECS guide still says to count them with the WSS saturation entry. It was the Q&A, that was changed after the fact.

The "Mini Mail Survey Presentation" says WSH "could" be included in Random Flats count:

But the "NRLCA Mini Mail Survey Training" says not to count them:

Personally, I think punching them in as FLATSWSS is going to be better for most carriers.
Geeze, don't count WSH AND don't scan them in as boxholders/addressed flats. Guess they expect us to work for free in the confusion.

WTF is WSH?
I believe it's walk sequence (letters or flats) but not full coverage.

Edited to add:

WSS = Walk Sequence Saturation - 90% of residential addresses within the route. The addresses must also be in walk sequence order. A mailer may alternately use 75% of the total residential and business deliveries.

WSH = Walk Sequence High Density - Minimum 125 pieces per route unless route has fewer than 125 deliveries.

WSH Plus = Walk Sequence High Density Plus - Minimum 300 pieces per route unless route has fewer than 300 deliveries.

Usually WSH are with the Presort Bundles so are supposedly already accounted for with other Presorts.
I believe the WSH that was exampled in the Presentation would be those “Dropped Off“ by the mailer.

We were told that WSS and WSH is all-ie same-y and I have been told nothing different so that is what I am going with. There are already flats that they have no way to count so we cannot afford to lose any more because they couldn't get their stuff together and decide how its going to be.

Why is WSH already accounted for but WSS isn't?

I've seen the same bundle from a mailer that will be ERCLOT for one route, WSH for another, and WSS for another.

So the mailer is submitting the numbers for all these bundles... Yet we are supposed to hit FLATSWSS if we end up with the WSS bundle. Do we get double credit?

They say one thing then change their minds....

Going thru this in office currently. 1 route same prebundled says ercwsh next route erclot next route wss. All I know is if it says wss I scan it as such anything else I just shake my head.

In my office it’s the newer routes that get them as WSS & older routes have them as LOT or WSH.

Bumping an old thread...

At what point were we told not to scan WSH?
Does anyone have the original "training guide" or paper that listed wsh as a scan?

WSS / WSH is being tallied by what RADAR? I punch in FLATSWSS whenever I see it on the floor.
I know it’s there but until I see the numbers that the PO is recording these entries I will keep on putting in the scan for them.
