LTM question

Don't worry. POV drivers like myself are LOVING RRECS.

PAID FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO!!!!!!! BIGGEST !@$@#ING LIE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

Walk into nursing with buzzer and typing code out minimum once a week. Tried to get misc time for 1 min. Told to 8127 time. 8127 time for 1 MINUTE ISN'T WORTH ANYTHING!

Driving 3-5 miles more every day because of long driveways and etc. Extra 1000 miles a year minimum no pay. Even better with gas at 5 bucks a gallon and EMA dropping 2 cents...

It is most likely due to packages down long driveway. I am always over 3-5 miles each day.

Sidebar -- you have apartments. None of RRECS gives credit for climbing steps. Delivery point is center of first floor for most.
You found the answer right there. GPS doesn't measure elevation when calculating distances. Going uphill / gps will measure - start to end on a 2d plane.

Think of a right triangle class..
◢ driving uphill your odometer says you went 1.2 miles the gps says you went .9 miles how steep is the incline? 41.4⁰
Cos = (adjacent÷hypotenuse) cos =0.9÷1.2, cos= 0.75, 0=cos^-1 (.75) = 41.41⁰
Curves are also hard for gps because the breadcrumbs drup every few seconds. Meaning a bunch of strait lines are used to create a curve, they're literally cutting corners.

You can definitely file a grievance for this problem. They can definitely change the miles on your 4241. A ride along (with no mail) with a grievance is all you need. Use the examples if you want... math is powerful.

Nursing home doorbell is on the MMS for miscellaneous time. Get a miscellaneous time sheet time, time how long it takes to get in, and round to the nearest minute. You get the two week daily average everyday for the whole year .. once a week is worth 52 minutes a year.

If you go up driveways everyday the DPM will show a green dotted line . Click it, and that driveway is now on your route miles (*aol mail voice) "you get paid"

I am fighting harder this next time on the nursing home.. It didn't help I got nothing during the count, but after the count was over, I went in their 3 times. It's just ridiculous game of luck with MMS IMO on that stuff.

Driveway thing is different. It is just a different driveway every day. I noticed that it will do that in mapping.

Damn strait, Keep Fighting!
And try to do more on Return to DU: wash your hands/bathroom first, Talk to management, mapping, get supplies, edit book, make notes for the sub, fill out a ps4232 for every address and keep them in order for your sub to go through when they're under retur2du, make name lables for your cluster boxes, have management check forwards, look for someone to clear your accountables/keys, clean up the pars lables (toss out old ones), clean under the bottom rows of your case, get cleaning supplies from matenance, tell management about the lights they need to replace and other differed matenance that needs to be done -ask if you can do that matenance under return2du- etc.

As a pov driver I always thought under Rrecs rural carriers should be paid for those driveway miles. The Government vehicles have to pay for that gas and maintenance for that driving why not pay the pov driver?
Under Rrecs the Usps knows exactly how many miles each poverty driver drives EVERY day, why not pay them for it? It would be worth filing a grievance and have it explained away by both Usps and the union. Then try to place it before a National LABOR Board in hopes you get a ruling like the Florida carriers got. Now we can video things that are unsafe in the Usps, and post specifics about it on line.

I understand the math and geometry.

My post was we don't get credit for elevations. Yes, we should. But to date I don't know of any grievance that's been filed to try to get credit for such. And although it seems like a simple thing, just tracking the breadcrumbs, but LTM and DPM don't have the ability to plot elevation, so it's a task using scanners to credit it as such.

Hope someone tries. Lots of multi floor buildings on rural routes.

On your LTM of your mapping I would call that coded nursing home door a "Gate" and get paid for it everyday.

They ride with us once a year in our office but our management says it has nothing to do with mileage. I call that lies. Getting your mileage correct took me 5 survey and had to jump through hoops but this survey I lost 1.13 miles. It makes no sense to me I do the same path of driving 6 days straight, management road and verified that path and kept up with the mileage and it was correct but now another battle for get my what 92 cents a day back. I'm at the point to try and shave that 1.13 off somehow myself during my path 🤷‍♀️ I do enough work for free as it is not counting the stress and headaches I go through. In our line of work GPS doesn't cut it at all. It's funny to me how we our sending missile (bombs) to the exact tenth but we loose miles out of thin air. I blame our union only! I'd bet my right delivery arm they aren't shorted in their travel miles! This organization and the people that over see it are going to he// in a handbag is my opinion!!!

Since route mileage cannot be disputed, can anyone tell me how to fix my LTM to match the true mileage for my route? Every month, I sit and watch a car drive my whole route and it's truly driving the whole route, so how is the mileage shorting me 3 miles per day? I did dispute this after the very first RRECS mail survey and was denied. I have downloaded two different apps on my phone and every day, it's a little over what my true mileage is due to delivering packages to the door. Before my next sit down to do watch the car drive the route, what if anything can I do to have the computer actually show the correct mileage? TIA
I have had the same problem since rrecs started.. I disputed it ..then had to send in a grievance. Before rrecs the postmaster and myself had drove the route and certified it to be 81 miles .. I won the grievance and got back pay from the beginning.. however mapping still is shorting me like 4 miles and I have to dispute every 6 months.. I turn in all my disputes and the grievance each time.. such a waste of time btw.. did it again this last one and waiting for my back pay.. been here 28 years and I’d go back to the old days of counting mail.. least then we knew it was all counted and a simple ride along would fix mileage

They actually sent someone that does rural route inspection to follow me! My roads are super horrible so she would wait at the end of the county road then pull back in on the paved part. But that's not the best part of she got roadmitized somewhere along the stretch between boxes and got lost so instead of redoing the inspection she gave me the very same mileage that I was disputing and in stated "she got lost" but she had a configuration app that applied correct mileage.. ive added a new road and 2 boxes that are average 2.6 extra since last route inspection but mileage stated the same.

Sounds like RRECSis working like it was intended.

What a failure on the union part and USPS that we are guinea pigs losing money and things still are wrong and unable to be proven

File a grievance asking for an OFFICIAL route inspection, you didn't have one yet. She has to drive the ENTIRE route, bumpy or not.
