Only one park point is permitted in dpm. If that park point is associated with the delivery of signature items or packages, then packages receive the park point for signature items and access up driveway. This usps document describes rrecs mapping procedure. The parties agreed on this issue.
Policy and practice match.

There is a park point for the mailbox location and also a park point related to the front door position. So no there isn't just one and you get paid to drive from the mailbox point to the front door point, if they are different. In the case of CBU's, unless you walk from the CBU to the front door you should have two different park points.

Also what you can't do is associate your park point at the street but drive up the driveway every day and deliver closer. That would be false information. Your park point for the front door would have to be up the driveway if that's what you do most often.

Naturally you might park somewhere different due to normal situations like cars in the way and such but if that other place is no longer the exception you have to change it in DPM at some point.

I actually love delivering parcels to the door because it helps my evaluation. I don't ever look for ways to get out of doing my job. The principle if a passable road for your apartment driveways also apply to my farm houses off the beaten path. Neither one if us would walk those from the street to the door, so why argue that there is a rule that we can?
