Mail Count

Use the scanner, go to "P" after your day is over.  Read that message.  It tells you how many PARCELS were scanned on your mail route.  The Postal Service uses the word PARCEL.  Then go look at your daily count sheet and see how many of these were credited as PARCELS.

Do yours match on a daily basis???  Column 6 = "P" on scanner???

At the end of the day, I do the Review Entries, and then Mail Entries, to get the total scans for the day... and I also do the Lookahead function at the end of the day... and if all of the Lookaheads have cleared (not likely) then it will flash a number of items that were scanned... not sure if all of those are considered parcels tho???

Just plugged my first six days of data in without corrections and with almost double parcels and load times, I'll be lucky to gain an hour since my last count in 2012. The game is so rigged it's ridiculous.

How many miles/boxes do you have?  I have less mail than you're getting, and I'm going up 5 hours.

Parcels increase = 81.6 minutes

Load time increase = about 60 minutes

Scans increase = 124 minutes

other time= 50 minute increase ( is that possible?)

Letters decrease = 42 minutes

DPS decrease = 23 minutes

Flats increase = 15 minutes

So far a 265 minute increase. ( not including other time factors)

P is the Lookahead.
 
By my calculations that an increase of just over 44 minutes per day or an increase of 4.42 hours per week. I'm looking at aprox. 3 Hr per week increase myself !

I think that is my problem. 683 boxes, 21 miles

Boxes and miles won't lower your evaluation unless you lost either, or both, since last count.
 
I just put your numbers into a calculator.  Without any dismounts, accountables, no outgoing mail, nothing extra...just the numbers you cited...it shows you at 52:23, which is a 44K.  Now assuming you have other things like certs and so on, you should be pushing 45K. 

There is one thing to be said about having a lot of miles, it's impossible for them to monkey with them.  It's X amount of time per mile and they can't manipulate it like they can with mail volume.

Yes, that's what I came up with so far, about 4 minutes in to a 45k, with 5 days to go, but with that much gain in parcels, etc. I thought I would gain much more than one hour. I'm guessing they are seeing everyone gaining so much , they'll tighten the clamps on the volume for the remainder of the count and I'll probably stay 44k or lose an hour, lol
