Let me help you get home early. 1)Write up as many parcels as you can, note that they are oversized, or mailbox is not large enough, etc.
2) Stop making all of those pesky scans, you only have to do the 6, right?
3) Prepare everything to dump and go at the end of day so you don’t have to be there any longer than you have to.
4) Run when you load, get out as soon as you possibly can.
5) Don’t drive to the end of the road unless you have mail for that box
6) Skip going to the door of any hardship that you have unless they have mail on that day.
These are methods of speed written down by the 1st and 2 carriers back everyday in my office.
Oh and by the way, don’t worry about your route being overburdened anymore, these “needs for speed” will shave off somewhere in the neighborhood of 6-9 hours per week. Many would think that you ruined your route, but who cares? At least you got home earlier, and that’s what counts.
Or is it?
