Major labor disputes with in 5 years?

Surprise!

Well-known member
Do you believe there will be major labor disputes within the Postal Service in the next 5 years?

We may have no decision in such disputes but to decide how we will respond to it.

2020 is the 50 year anniversary of the 1970 US Postal STRIKE!!! Largest Wildcat STRIKE!!! in US history... o_O

Less than a year away... get your picket signs ready...

The sad thing is I don't think anyone would picket the service itself. We would picket the horrible working conditions, the lack of leadership, the dismal moral outlook...

It's not the mail or the parcels I personally object to. It's the daily lack of any plan to go along with the expectation of delivering these items in a timely, profitable manner.

its not the work i mind either, its the lack of respect by management in general that what we do is actually work.we arent just out there parked under a tree,or sitting on the phone,or computer all damn day.

Mngt seems unwilling to recognize that we do THE work that people want done... WE deliver the mail... the job of the USPS...

The mngt geeks wanna act like none of that is important... they wanna act like the only thing that is important is sitting around on doofus telecons, or looking at stupid @$$ reports or PacMan games on their computer... and none of that is doing squat to get the REAL job done... delivering the mail...

Wouldn't it be nice if they'd get off our backs so we could do our jobs... delivering the mail... it's getting harder and harder to do it as they keep piling more and more of them on our backs... ?️‍♂️?

What month was the 1970 Postal Strike in?

I was just wondering what would happen if we celebrated the 50 year anniversary. Even if we did nothing of significanc. The Postal Service would probably let loose with every kind of enforcement they have. It could be very funny.

I keep thinking they need us a whole hell of a lot more than we need them. Doesn't that put US in the power seat then?
