Mapping Groups of mail boxes

New discussion at my office.
When you have groups of mail boxes do you
a) group them as one stop AND the boxes as one
b) group them as one stop, then plot the boxes where they lie on the map

I'd say the logic for choice b) is that not plotting the boxes separately from the group FORCES the system think you are delivering one giant shared mailbox and not 11 separate ones like in the image above. Also if the boxes are not plotted then how would choice a) know how to compensate you for creep time?

For the longest time we were told to group the boxes and the stop and no literature I can find online has clarified this enough for me to be able to settle this 'dispute'.

I'd like to know this as well since I was apparently trained wrong and had tons of boxes grouped that shouldn't have been. I fixed them this month, but that's too late for this count.

Not necessarily, changes in mapping take effect thought the year. This is something new over the past 6 months or so. Everything else is twice a year.

Im not certain how it affects things myself.
I assume it affects coverage factor because if the group is spread out enough it might not register that you stopped at a box if you dont plot them.

Well, there's the creep time. From The Guide ;

3. Creep Time (S143)

This standard is applied to those instances in which the distance between two mailboxes
is less than 5 feet. The mapping program cannot accurately discern distances this small,
so RRECS applies a standard of 0.0208 minutes for each of the spaces between boxes
grouped close together. In a common example of 10 boxes lined up on one long post,
the route valuation would be credited with 9 spaces times 0.0208 minutes/space times
6 days or 1.12 minutes per week in Creep Time for this set of boxes.

if you only map once a year it could be very significant. verify your mapping every month. the program can change things by itself. so can MGMT.

So do you get more credit if you have the boxes mapped as a group but on 2 separate post as opposed to one post?

Not necessarily, changes in mapping take effect thought the year. This is something new over the past 6 months or so. Everything else is twice a year.

The system “glitches” or makes changes based on your breadcrumbs or lack there of routinely. Don’t ask why just know it’s your pay and your responsibility to map every month. Keep up on edit book weebez (online edit book). All of this is on EoS if you get denied mapping time grieve it same for checking webez, edit book etc.

ive lost traffic control points from forgetting to clock back in from lunch after getting fuel in my POV. were paid to map, might as well do all of it.
