Misc. Time Credit Removed

Train wait time was taken from me during the survey. I have a Union Pacific train yard on my route that stay busy and several no outlet roads. At times I have no choice but to wait.

I have video documentation of my waits showing the scanner date and time.

When I asked management why, I’m told District said it was too much. I asked my union rep., he said it’s built in mapping with the traffic control points and I don’t get misc time.

How do I dispute this since I can’t provide my videos?

I also provide info well in advance of the MMS for “approval”.

tell her/him to go look up the step 4s.

the train CROSSING is a traffic control point and is mapped along with any yield signs.

WAITING on trains is absolutely misc time.

file the dispute as soon as the window opens.

i hope you documented the time on your MMS papers as well as your 4240.

From The 603 , 535.12 . This references column 17 which once was column "R" and is now the misc. time section during the MMS.

17. Column 17 — Other Suitable Allowance

a. A reasonable time allowance may be claimed for unusual
conditions, or for other services rendered on a daily or weekly
basis that are not accounted for under the normal work functions.
This does not include time for vehicle breakdowns. Management
must authorize items for which time is claimed under this
heading. These items must recur daily or weekly. Weekly safety
talks must be conducted, and the actual time required (usually
5 minutes per week) recorded in column 17

There is also the attached for even more reference. As @oi veh. posted , you dispute this as soon as you are able.
