Missing flats?

So who had three tons of flats show up yesterday (Monday 3/12)? I sure did. Working a route that I've delivered maybe 6 times in 5 years, I've never been out past 5 on it. Yesterday? 5:30. Didn't leave the office until 11:30am (7:30 is starting time) and it was all flats. 4 tubs of raw flats, 1/2 tub of bundled flats, a handful of letters, and 2 full DPS trays. Yeah, I lost plenty of time with those damn flats. Of course the tiny amount of snow that just kept coming down didn't help a bit. Sadly, out of 10 routes, I was the 3rd back.

Should have pulled out the PO 603 and cited the 20 min window for leave time based on time sheet, and ask management what mail should be curtailed.
