Monday k. Saturday becomes the holiday. Do saturday k routes get the day off before the holiday for the Monday k?
The way they explain it if you work your holiday you're getting double. See Postal logic. I've had a Monday K day and that's the drawback. But substituting Monday volume for Saturday imo more than makes up for 50% more pay for usually 6 holidays out of the year.Thank you! Can't make it make sense that after losing Saturday as a relief day i now also lose my holidays as well. That the union has sought no remedy for this is dismal but not surprising.
There is still a procedure and order of consideration. They can't just arbitrarily mandatory you to work. Volunteers and then mandatory by junioity.Thank you! Those are the hoops i have been trying to jump through. Mondays are pretty bad so maybe missing 52 of them and still catching the non monday holidays will be not so bad. Love the "getting double" lol yeah because i am doing the work. Someone who gets off doesn't get paid for the day but still gets the holiday. It would be double if i got penalty o.t for the day worked and paid for the holiday. Betcha get the deer in headlights when hitting them with that lil truth nugget. The way they explain it if you work your holiday you're getting double. See Postal logic. I appreciate your optimism but the current staffing situation in our office doesn't afford any type of order of consideration. Luckily i am like 5th for seniority and three of the people ahead of me will retire in the next 5 years. The other chick is close to my age and made regular only a few years before myself so she will most likely always be most senior for my career. There is still a procedure and order of consideration.
