No, no and no. Management is not allowed to text us at. all. unless we are fixin' to be blown to Oz or the Ice Age is about to descend.
Your nice PM cheated you out of money. You are to get paid "real time" not eval the 1st time you carry a route or if you haven't carried it for a year.
But it's your money.
That’s not the way I see it at all. I am well aware I get “real time” as I have poured over the topics on this forum. My PM even reminded me himself that I get hourly pay for yesterday (and today as I’m fortunate enough to get to work). I put in 8 hours yesterday and guess what I normally put in a week? 8.6 total of evaluated time. So no one “cheated” me out of money. If I wanted to struggle on that route my first time running it, I could have told him, no thanks, don’t want your help and he would have gladly backed off.
It’s funny because everyone seems to post about how management doesn’t help, they should deliver and remember what it’s like, they should train new subs better, they set newbies up to fail, etc., and yet when I mention my PM is actually doing those things, sarcasm, and negativity.
I get it. It’s hard for anyone to believe that someone might be wanting to help. Especially in the Post Office. I wonder sometimes....
In my PO I see people who have positive attitudes, who say good morning, they come and offer me tips, they are friendly with their customers, and they seem to like their jobs and be happy people. Then I see the people with the negative, complaining, and whining attitudes who are constantly bitching. They never say hi to me or anyone else and theh seem like they are just unhappy in general. It makes me stop and think? that maybe just maybe my attitude and outlook have a great deal to do with my own happiness with my job and my life.
I’m grateful my PM is a decent human being and helped the sub succeed on a new route.
Or I could be bitter that that bastard “cheated” me out of money.
See how that works? An attitude of gratitude ?
