Apparently, the MPOO in my area is denying payment for e-travel miles for RCA's to drive to the hub office (>50 miles) on Amazon Sundays. The argument seems to be along the lines that, because we are assigned to the hub office on Sunday, that the reporting office becomes our home office for that day. This doesn't sound right at all. According to my postmaster, the union is fighting this, and I should submit my e-travel forms 1164-E to the postmaster, and they will put it in a folder for when this gets resolved to be compensated later. I've heard they are not compensating people for e-travel if the form is not properly submitted within 30 days.
Has anyone else heard of this? Should I be grieving this?
