4 years of unpaid amazon. Say 50 packages extra a day. Post Office ridiculous standards say 30 seconds a parcel plus 18 seconds per scan. That's 40 minutes extra a day. 300 work days a year is 12000 minutes extra per year. That's 200 hours. At $25 an hour, it's $5000 a year. Four years is $20K.
I wish nothing but the worst for the union heads and the USPS.

Blame the Post Office for this one. Union doesn’t have a say on September counts.

No, but they have a say in it going on this long.
The last contract had ZERO counts. RRECS was to be implemented by 2015.
Usps was allowed to start Amazon drops immediately after the last national count and the NRLCA didn't say a word about it.

That’s because Amazon drops already existed in the majority of the country. I’ve been through many counts with Amazon parcels. Ours did lessen up in 2017 when Amazon started delivering their own. Small towns around me do not want a count since Amazon wasn’t delivering in their areas until 2019. They had full Amazon when they counted in 2018 & now typically get done early since it dropped to 1/2.

That's great, but there are multiple carriers on here that started immediately after the last count. How was that allowed. I thought they weren't allowed to start or stop a significant duties within a time frame surrounding a count?
Were there any document requests by the union to determine the timing? Was there ANY push to get the arbitrator to enforce the 2015 RRECS deadline? Anything?

Parcel delivery was already a “duty” as for count rules so it was not a new “duty” added.
Unfortunately, it was not a Nationwide change that happened all at once for all offices. We who got it when Amazon began the drops many many years ago weren’t too happy about being part of the select few that had to suddenly deliver these very oversized pkgs.

With the official word from the NRLCA now posted I guess the the USPS realizes that they would lose if we had a National Count. Now if the NRLCA would capitalize on this sentiment during the contract negotiation we would be sitting pretty for getting positive results.

Its not for me I wouldn't deal very well with someone looking over my shoulder and breathing down my neck everyday!
Just like the PO and union wanted it…..we have been absolutely used for no compensation. I average 800% on parcels over last mail count daily last 18 months. NRLCA is a inept group of negotiators. I will tell you right now they will give away gains under rrecs which are not many next contract guaranteed.

Former Union President Jeanette Dwyer said there was no way she would ever want to go hourly.
What's she doing now? I heard she went back to her route and instantly got hurt and hasn't worked.
Anyone have the scoop?
she's back on the board replacing committeeman johnny miller who fell gravely ill last year.
