No Pin given - Apply PTF

I don’t know if this is the right thread. Sorry if it’s not.

TLDR: husband was never given pin for light blue or phone bidding. Told nothing they can do, will miss out on PTF position, how to approach? Is it worth it?

He was last minute told a PTF position is posted in his office. He is unable to find a pin (we never get mail from USPS). He called the number, requested a new pin, and they say it will come. He was never told to use lite blue, or to log in. So, of course, he never did. Management all says there is nothing they can do. Is there anything he can do? Is it worth it to fight this pleasurable battle that is the USPS? Been an RCA almost 2 years. Thanks.

Your husband MIGHT be able to submit a a paper bid, Form 1717 , I think......it's been awhile or call HRSSC ( shared services ) 1-877-477-3273 and submit a phone bid. I believe it is option #2 and make sure he has the position and posting number(s) .

When did the bid close? Tell him to make a copy of the form 1717, have a clerk round date it , and get a supervisor or pm to sign that they received it. You have to do everything you can to cover yourself because you can’t trust management for nothing.
