What happens when no subs, 2 carriers exhausted working the 6 days a week with no way for time off? Couldn't get one weekend off all summer as no one to do the routes. PM won't train any subs either, there are a couple from other offices looking for hours but keeps telling us no one available to do our routes. I am mentally exhausted.

The best thing for you to do is to make a claim to OWCP. In that claim say that you are physically and mentally exhausted due to the # of hours you are being forced to work with no down time. Ask your pm for the forms, explain what you are going to do because of your exhaustion and tell him he had better suit up or get you some relief or you will be out for the foreseeable future. Hopefully that will cause him to see the errors of his ways, and bring in Rca's from other offices that want the work. You should also file a 120 day letter (letter requesting an Rca within 120 days) .

You have sick leave, use it. Call in sick on a Fri. and Sat. let your PM deliver on their day off. When you come back on Mon. be prepared to file a grievance for a full day of relief if your route isn't cleaned up. If they leave you a mess you get paid for the extra time (on an 8127) it takes to clean it up.
