Can anyone verify if the proposal for RRECS input only made by the regular carrier would be recognized was proposed? Our DR said this topic would be 100% be discussed. This would put squarely in our hands therefore no excuses.

For volume's sake, I sure wouldn't want a Monday K-day as sub delivers instead and not counted towards evaluation. No opinion as to what "right" looks like, just saying that there would seem to be both + and - impacts with this proposal.

It was up for discussion but due to the late hour on Friday, a motion was put on the floor to pass all remaining opposed resolutions from #170 through #375 as a “Block”. It was passed by the Delegation.
Non-Binding Resolutions are a “Wish-List” & hopefully the Board will take note of the ones that were opposed to & not addressed individually in that Block.
The other “Block” of Resolutions passed was all that were under RRECS/MMS (79-129). There are some good ones in there but also some really bad ones that hopefully will not make it into negotiations.

Not all Resolutions make it to the Negotiating Table but hopefully this board will have the good sense to know which would be beneficial to fight for for the Carriers.

It should be noted that this motion was made immediately after a break and many of the delegates had not returned to the hall yet. Many of us were (and are) pretty upset that it passed that way.

In my opinion, you were elected to represent carriers and put in the work to do right by them. If you can't be bothered to give each resolution its due, then you shouldn't be there.

I voted against all Block-passes. I feel all Resolutions should be given a chance to be heard. Block-passing does not allow for us to weed out the Resolutions that are ridiculous or could ultimately be harmful to the members. It gives the Board the task of figuring out what we want.
If this is the way it goes everytime, we might as well just pass all Non-Binding as a block & let the Board sort it out (sarcasm). I know that these are a “wish list” but we should be allowed to determine the best ones to represent what we wish to be considered for negotiations.

No offense but if they were not on the floor when business was going on the they are the problem! That is unacceptable in my opinion. You know how long the break is and you get back on the floor.

The RRECS block failed because there were bad ones needing to be weeded out. The final block passed because people could not be bothered anymore.

I saw it, i forget where it was but if they pushed it into the RRECS block it failed because people are not willing to go to these for work but as a timeshare vacation obligation.

if more states tie their own delegate pay to attendance and on time arrival...people show up. they may not have pre read anything or prepared but, they show up in their seat to avoid losing a session of pay.

It was a quick 10 min break after the Appeals were moved up to be handled midway through the Resolutions and we all missed Dinner. My state only requires AM & PM (after lunch) check-ins. The only Evening check-in we have is Caucus Night.
Unfortunately, most people did not expect that motion (Block remaining & pass) to be made & passed so quickly.
