we had one quit yesterday. got paid for orientation week, mileage and per diem. Took the money and ran before even showing up.

There was an alien abduction at our academy this week. New rca said she was going to the restroom...never to be heard from again. Wierd, we had to do a full facilities search, parking lot search, in case she was experiencing a medical emergency. Left phone messages, text, email. Welfare check from police. Just fell off the face of the Earth.

-- Obviously one of the fortunate candidates who realized the USPS was not for her.

BossTrainer -- "Most of them think we show up to work and hop in the llv/POV and start delivering with all the mail and parcels ready to go... "

-- In that case, kindly directed them to the UPS ( but don't tell them they will most likely have to work as an unloader or loader first ).

Did they actually get paid? I still hear stories about RCAs that haven't been paid for any of their training from 3 or more months ago.

I didn't get paid for my first three pay periods (over 35 years ago.)
Stopped asking management about it. Another carrier clued me in about cash advance. Wow, it
got fixed ASAP when management felt I owed them money!
