Paid for Evaluated time or time worked?

I am a RCA. My route is evaluated at 8.20 hours.
Last week as new RCA I worked 10 hours each for the two days I carried. I did not work over 40 hours. Shouldn’t I had gotten paid for actual time worked? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated and any supporting documents or articles would be awesome! I’m genuinely confused.

You should get paid for actual time for the first 5 weeks after you are hired. After 5 weeks, you will be paid evaluated time regardless of how much actual time you spend.
