Parcel Pickup

If you're doing that daily, it should be "built into" your route with dismount distance. I have a couple I do daily & 1 that I do weekly. ALL 3 are "built in" meaning that there is an understanding to pickup & I get dismount distance for each day required. As to flats & parcels under 2 lbs, if they are 1st Class or Media/Parcel Post then they are Letters. Priority & above qualify for parcel credit. 

The question is... did mgmt instruct you to do these pickups or did you just take it upon yourself to do this time consuming task without mgmts knowledge or approval? If mgmt instructed, then it qualifies! If not, plead your case and maybe.... if mgmt won't budge on it, STOP picking them up for free & let them "schedule" it or complain to mgmt.  </blockquote>
I am doing it daily, 6 days a week but I am not sure how long but over 10 years or so. I was told to dismount into the store and pick up but at that time when they first added the stop, I am not sure that the antique mall did eBay but they have for many years now. I went from 17 minutes a week to 45 seconds a week to do these packages and my route is 7 minutes shy of rolling to the next hour. 41 hours maybe after 20 years!

So is it on your 4003 line of travel? You should have gotten dismount distance for each day and multiple trips if needed on any of the count days. It should have been measured during your route inspection.

It's 233 ft for 1 minute so if you're doing that each day once a day, that's 6 minutes just for walking in & out. If 2 trips per day, then 12 minutes per week.

Built-in pickups fall under the Col 21 & 22 rules. I have 2 built-ins so I had a minimum of 2 in Col 21 everyday and ALL Priority pkgs were automatically credited in Col 22 parcels as were the Parcel Return pkgs and any others over 2 lbs.
