Pay questions

Do RCA’s have a 2 hour minimum pay requirement? IE... If i get called to help take an LLV to a carrier broken down on the route and my actual work time is one hour.

I know if we show up and the PO postpones delivery for the day we get 2 hour show up time.

Yes, 2 hours minimum

Justhuman et al -- "Do RCA’s have a 2 hour minimum pay requirement? IE... If i get called to help take an LLV to a carrier broken down on the route and my actual work time is one hour. "

-- Article 8.4. - Guarantees - Any employee scheduled to work and who does report for work SHALL be guaranteed two ( 2 ) hours WORK or PAY.

-- Manglement called you - you are now scheduled ( or should be placed on the schedule -- make copy of Green Card for proof ).

-- Even though the actual work was only for 1 hour, manglement could require you to find something to do around the office to eat up the 2 hour minimum. ( such action usually happens to city carriers ) Or tell you to go home and still pay you for the 2 hours ( unlikely ). Best to check the pay stub to ensure you got paid properly.

Yessir! Thank you! Add that to the list of hours i have donated. I dont want to get pd for doing nothing so im fine with doimg their errands. RCAs at my office have yet to require mgmt to follow this rule. Meaning we write down our actual time rather than green card 2 hrs when we have worked less.

Sad to say, if you don't know how many hours, slow or fast to put in and down, and how much you should get paid on actual or evaluated, you will be screwed. The entire way work is measured and actually paid is still up in the air.
