Ptf route assignment question

Can you choose/ and or change your primary routes as long as there are no rca primary leave replacements?  What if a lower seniority ptf  has been randomly assigned as the primary on the route you want to switch to? Lastly, is the primary route you are assigned to as an rca still have priority over other routes after becoming a ptf?

Mgmt chooses the routes & they must be K-routes that don't currently have a sub. They are randomly chosen by Relief Day to avoid duplicates. Mgmt should give the senior bidder the choice of "Strings". I.e. String 1 has routes 2,4,9,20 & String 2 has 3,5,12,15 of which senior has choice but cannot mix & match.

The current Primary route for the winning bidder is not up for String placement since it's not currently vacant. Once a route is Sub-Vacant, it must be offered up for the other subs to change to. The Primary routes that the winning bidders held are to be bid up as Primary vacant per contract.

They pick the routes you have no choice. PTFs I think is the only rural position which cant change their assignment if they want.

You must be assigned to two K routes but can be up to five total. You can work J/H routes as well but you need at least two Ks on your detail.

You can't swap your assigned routes as management picks what the routes are. There is no choice by the PTF. Seniority or wanting a route means nothing.

The only thing you are guaranteed as for hours is the number of hours that the assigned routes add up to for the week.

You can be swapped off(for the day or permanently) any route at any time as you are a PTF and do not have primary routes like RCAs do.

They can assign Sunday to you before basically anyone if they want to.

Overtime pay is not 1.5 rate but more like 1.4 because your hourly rate has holiday pay included so the OT rate is based on the standard rate.

Union dues are triple what an RCAs pays.

Supposedly you can bid on other PTF positions(strings) but that has never happened and its not possible in the E bidding system and they can just change your assigned routes back to the old ones anyway. When I was a PTF I tried swapping to a anouther station in the same office when a new PTF came up there. Didnt happen

PTF position is assigned on a per station basis if the office is an APO and the routes should be assigned to a single station but it you can be assigned to multiple stations within the same office I believe.
