My office new hire RCA and training with C 19 out there.
They did the 24 training.. Worked 3 days in a row as a solo. Called in today at 7 am to inform 204 they are not showing up today and quitting. Reason given... It costs me money with current Unemployment benefits out there. A insane split happened today. My alleged RCA still out there.
Just saying here..... Why do new hires have to go academy first before shadow day? Liability issue?
They are better spending $ first for a 3 day observe of work we do. Most people view our job as driving or walking around and stuffing mail box or delivering parcels to their door.

Wind, I agree the shadow day should come before academy. It would weed out so many before we spend big bucks on them. It would also give new hires some perspective first. They might actually ask some useful questions while they're at academy.
The PM can authorize just about anyone to ride in the vehicle. Maybe get them to shadow after the fingerprinting/drug testing just so you know you're not driving around with a stoned ax murderer.

I was told the resin my pm isn’t doing our OJT with the new guidelines in place is because she doesn’t think it would be fair and we wouldn’t get adequate training. I get that. At same time I also think (correct me if I’m wrong) there’s only so much I can learn until I actually have to do it myself. I’m sure I will have 100 questions when I’m by myself first day that never even occurred to me while training. Learning where things are in the case and office routine isn’t something I will 100% know after OJT. I was also wondering if the person doing my OJT will be compensated for it? I’m guessing not which means yes they will want to train me well but at same time they will be trying to get in and out like they normally would and thinking geez now I gotta be slowed down by this new girl in my way....I don’t know if there are any perfect solutions I just don’t want to go broke and don’t understand why I’m not being utilized where I can. Happy to have worked today and the next 3 are scheduled tho.
