I filled out a request for a sub within 120 days. That date will expire on December 8. They havent hired me a sub or even found a ptf. What happens, and what else do I need to do?

Just to make a point. It does go to different places when you fill one out, so it’s like a refresher where the “interest” has been lost.

-- A couple of things: file another 120-Day Notice / if your office doesn't have a steward, contact your Assistant District Representative.

-- If you office has at least 2 K routes without subs and both regular carriers have filed the 120-Day Notice without results, time to have the ADR call or pay a visit to the office to "discuss" manglement's inability to hire RCA's. And to go over the ground rules for creating a PTF position if there are other RCA's in the office. Such as Article 30.1.P.2.A.3 / Step 4's ( P-115, R-95 and R-31 )

I gave up on full coverage. So in my situation on day 120, i filed the grievance and sent it up. DR got on the phone same day with labor. PTF position was posted within a few days. 14 days is all it took. You could possibly have a PTF by Christmas eve.

Maybe call your DR and make sure all ducks are in a row. Fill out your grievance and have your 120 day letter copy ready and a short letter explaining your reasoning for filing. Have the envelope filled out ready to send before you do your route that day. Write a note to the PM explaining that 120 days are up on 12/8 and that you will grieve to have a PTF created if no RCA is hired and working your route by then. Give it a copy of the letter they signed, bc mine denied ever knowing about it.

LMAO. The request with time line and lack of interest from posting falls within guarantee period of no hire or train. The earliest for new hire here training is the first week of FEB.

Ill note that, when i grieved the issue, someone had already been interviewed and "hired". But i had had enough. I wasnt going to wait 4 months, have them work 3 days, then quit. Nope.

That's what our office did. Several regulars had submitted 120-letters. So they hired ten new subs. We'll be lucky if two stay. I was looking forward to a PTF position, but I'm sure now there won't be any created.
