Question please help

Can someone explain or guide me where I can find out the correct way a drop 2 is allowed? I have alot of boxes that are shared, like 2 houses using one mailbox. The supervisor rode with me a few years ago and told me to apply a drop 2 in edit book for each address that is sharing a box so I receive proper credit but today PM rode with me and said that is incorrect. He said that the only way a drop 2 is allowed is if I receive mail for both residents and they have different addresses. Example, 300 and 299 have to be numbered on the same mailbox. He said you can’t do a drop 2 for seperate houses using the same address. Is he right?

You seem to be splitting families mail that is addressed to one address. Force them to put another box up instead. Your customes sound like they are being taxed on one dwelling when they should be taxed on 2
