I live in the same state as my home office; if I go work in an office across the state line would I have to file taxes in both states? My pm says no but I was wondering if anyone out there has come across this situation before.

I havent come across that, but, I would confirm that with someone who knows something about taxes.

Do you use turbo tax or program like that ? If so, I think it will ask you about the situation you describe.

NO! My opinion.... You pay the taxes in the state where your office is that you work from.
Think of it this way, if I owned say a replacement window company and I send you as my employee to install our windows that we make in a house in another state, you would still be working for me in this state.

Have worked for companies before doing jobs outside my home state. You do not pay taxes in other states even if you work in them. It is based off where your company is located. So no you would not.

Awesome. That's what I thought, just wanted to make sure. I've had to dual file in the past and it's always a headache. Thanks!
